Standard Counselling Session: $180 per 50 minutes.

What extended health benefit providers cover varies depending on your policy and what your employer has chosen to cover within that policy.

I do not provide direct billing, which means you will need to submit receipts to your health coverage provider after our sessions.
​
I recommend that clients contact their insurance providers directly to find out if counselling with a Registered Counselling Therapist through the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists is covered and to what extent.

Your benefits provider will most likely need to know the following information:

I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
I am a RCT with the NSCCT, and a C.C.C. (Canadian Certified Counsellor) and CCS (Canadian Certified Supervisor) with The Canadian Counselling Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).

Please check your coverage by asking the following questions:

• Does my plan provide out-of-network reimbursement for mental health?

• Is there a deductible I need to meet before you will start to reimburse me?

• How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

• What percentage of the fee do you cover?

I accept payment preferably via e-transfer but also accept payment by credit card.

Sessions are pay as you go and there is no obligation to book more than one session at a time, though you are more than welcome to.

Payment is expected by the end of day if paying by e-transfer or online. I send clients receipts that include all the necessary information required to submit to your insurance provider if they cover Registered Counselling Therapists.

I currently offer virtual counselling sessions for Nova Scotia and British Columbia residents only. I use a secure HIPAA platform to conduct these video sessions which you can access on your computer, tablet, or phone.

• I require at least 24 hours advanced notice or you will be required to pay 50% of the cost of the session.
